   The Sierra Gorda of Querétaro in Mexico became a biosphere reserve because the communities who live in it and own it understood the importance of recovering, sustaining, and regenerating their forests and denuded mountains, a total community grassroots efforts!They deserve these votes and more because even though they live in extreme poverty they are making changes in their lives in order to be of the earth.
