I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Transform Homelessness Advocacy Watch (THAW) documentary distribution

The Committee to End Homelessness in Victoria - Non-Profit - www.homelessnation.org

The Committee to End Homelessness in Victoria, understands housing as a human right and is producing the documentary film: ˜Transform Homelessness Advocacy Watch" (THAW). THAW explores homelessness by illustrating the interconnection of mental health, policing, housing, and poverty.

Free Range funds would enable filmmakers from the streets to reveal the contradiction between the tourist-city image of Victoria, BC and marginalized homeless individuals. THAW empowers participants to tell their stories about homelessness, stigma, discrimination, and poverty. Grant funds will be used for: global distribution (online, film festivals, education), entrance fees for festivals, provide honorariums to film contributors, and in post-production phases to create DVDs.
