  1. A New Face For Child Foundation

    Child Foundation - Non-Profit - www.childfoundation.org

This project will greatly increase the exposure and participation in Child Foundation programs. Currently, Child Foundation is not utilizing the latest technology to serve donors and sponsors as well as the best methods to attract new contributors. An updated and expanded web presence is crucial for Child Foundation to grow as an organization, retain it's current donor base, and ultimately serve more children in need. The vision for the new website includes an online database of children for prospective sponsors to choose from, and an improved professional look and feel with revolving child photos and success stories on the homepage.

  2. Perspectives of Poverty

    Engineers Without Borders Canada - Non-Profit - www.ewb.ca

In ealy 2010, an EWB volunteer living in Malawi decided to explore perceptions of poverty in western media. He ˜faked" pictures of people in his community as poor/rich, and then showed his perspectives on his blog:
    http://waterwellness.ca/2010/04/28/perspectives-of-poverty/

Little did he or anyone else in the organization expect this to go viral:
    See: http://bit.ly/9XEOTm http://bit.ly/bxLhdN http://bit.ly/cRqq14 http://bit.ly/9m8Dtc http://bit.ly/cPPdIj http://bit.ly/cz7uo8

EWB, along several of our volunteers, would like Free Range to help us spread this unique project with a wider audience. We feel strongly that a new dialogue and relationship with Africa is critical to building enterprises and livelihoods for entrepreneurial Africans.

  3. Ending world hunger, one grilled cheese at a time

    FeelGood - Non-Profit - www.feelgoodworld.org

Conventional service delivery solutions to hunger are founded on a framework of thinking that fundamentally misidentifies who hungry people are. This framework treats people born into poverty as: mouths to feed & as fishermen who need to be taught, reinforcing the powerlessness that creates the conditions of hunger. A new framework is needed to eradicate hunger, one rooted in human dignity, the power of self-reliance, and the reality of our interconnectedness. We envision a campaign that inspires and invites the masses to adopt this framework, generating support for movements like FeelGood, which is ending hunger one grilled cheese at a time.

  4. EVERY MOM: A Child’s Hope

    Save the Children - Non-Profit - www.savethechildren.org

Some 350,000 mothers worldwide die each year during child birth. Eight million children die before the age of five. These are deaths that could have been prevented or treated. Save the Children is creating a global movement to save more lives by improving the health of mothers and children. Help us highlight what the world would be if your survival did not depend on where you were born. Using Mother's Day 2011, help us create a video that captures the essence of motherhood and inspires people globally to make a difference.

  5. Change Lives—Empowering Youth to Walk for Water in Africa

    Change Lives Foundation - Non-Profit - www.changelivesfoundation.net

Change Lives has committed to funding at least one clean water well ($12,000) for the orphans and vulnerable children of Swaziland. Swaziland has one of the highest HIV/AIDS rates in the world, which has left thousands of vulnerable children taking care of themselves, many without access to clean water. With our “Walk for Water” grassroots campaign we have the power to inspire hundreds of youth across the nation to lead their own walks and experience what millions throughout the world that do not have access to clean water experience every day. We will educate youth on the issues of poverty and provide the tools to become leaders for action and change.

Change Lives seeks design services from Free Range to help develop a compelling website to launch our campaign and empower youth throughout the nation to get involved through tangible forms of action that make a difference, and in the end, fund clean water wells for Swaziland children.

  6. Mr. Beans Newspaper to the Rescue

The Bobbie Bean On-line Newspaper Project - Hybrid - www.BobbieBean.com

Bobbie Bean wants to convert his US Senate race website into a resource for suburban communities in Florida that have been hit hard by the economic decline. Twice as many people have ended up in poverty in the suburbs than in the cities in America, according to a recently released report from the Brookings Institute. There are few or no safety nets in the suburbs, and some suburbanites are selling off their retirement funds to make ends meet. Mr. Bean, who has become a bit of a political icon in Florida, wants to create an on-line newspaper that would connect people to resources and safety nets during these difficult times. He also is promoting solar highways that would provide electricity to homes, businesses, and electric cars right from the streets.

  8. Deepening and Widening The River

    The River Food Pantry - Non-Profit - www.riverfoodpantry.org

The River Food Pantry is a 4-year-old grassroots organization in Madison, WI that has recently become the busiest food pantry in Dane County, serving 500 families each week. We need our support network to grow, and to do that we need to get the word out about who we are and how to get involved. Some professional literature would really help!
