The students loved writing to and hearing from their pen pals. They didn't mind learning the mechanics of writing when it was for such a interesting and worthwhile purpose. Students at all levels did their best work for their pen pals. We even got to videoconference with some students:)

All of my social studies participated last year! The students loved writing to and hearing from their pen pals. They didn't even mind learning the mechanics of writing when it was for such a interesting and worthwhile purpose. Students at all levels tried to do their best work to present to their pen pals. We even got to videoconference with some students:)
