Road to Rio+20
Peace Child International - Non-Profit - www.peacechild.org
We are starting a campaign looking forward to the Rio Summit in 2012 to put youth in the center of the Sustainable Development Agenda. We want to engage as many youth groups as we can in the process building up towards the summit, committing to fight for a better world. We need an AMAZING looking website to allow this. Free Range could provide this.

Great ideas + great tools + amazing youth = incredible results. Glad to have been part of the last Congress and hoping our efforts trascend the Congress. As the rest have said, congrats to PCI for its innovative initiatives.

What PCI is doing is just great! Setting more specific tragets however after the Rio Summit is necessarily, since, althought it is very important to link young people from arounf the world, the Summit should serve as more than a networking platform. And this is why I stress the importance of setting specific targgets and goals in each one of approached areas in which all participants can engage and have a real sense of contribution.

Peace Child has done an amazing job of getting people to meet across borders. To bring together amazing young individuals who for those wonderful two weeks forget that they are different races, ethnicities and colors, and work towards one goal. Go Peace Child! :) Looking forward to 2012! :)

Great experience in 5the WYC. All administrative arrangement are mind blowing hope coming participant also get same environment in
Brazil too.
Limited interaction and no suitable environment of exchanging real idea of you are the problem. Most of participants are no so serious. while i applied for congress i expect i can get lots of project to do after back to country with many same minded youth from different country but sorry i was not fulfill my real expectation but i am happy i got another in return, i got fun more learn less. We don't have culture of getting fun without learn so i am upset at beginning later its ok.
I never forget the turkish youth, people and culture specially dance and wish i will get same at Barazil with new hope. -

I loved the WYC in Istanbul, was one of the best experience in my life, I hope the next projects of the PCI become so special as the WYC, the only thing I need to tell is that I didn't like to know that our structure wasn't ready yet. I didn't make my blog because I didn't have internet to post and they wanted only journalists to use the computers available, I was an entrepreneur.
I also didn't like that many activities started late and many people didn't attend the activities, I tried to attend many activities, and had many friends that definitly didn't attend, they were only going out around Istanbul, I went to Turkey about 2 weeks b4 the congress to see around and I think they should do it too...
I hope in the next congress you make a kind of control to see if people r attending the workshops and all the activities, with more people will b more interesting.Thank you very much, Neil... =)
also that~s all i have to tell, the rest is perfect! =)
LOVE PCI! If u want me to work for u, i can accept! hahaha

It is necessary to contextualize the concept of sustainable development in accordance with the reality of each country or region, because the natural resources, intellectual, monetary and social policies are different. Similarly, the sustainable dimension that includes social, environmental and economic, depends on influential groups (youth, women, poor and others) that vary in proportion to the countries, as seen more of these populations in developing countries via development compared with "developed" countries. However, the social component has a low weighting in the concept of sustainability, and social processes in Latin American countries that are cultural and ancestral friendly environment are unknown, criticized and extinction will not have an understanding from economic reasoning. This must be reviewed and considered with caution, since the involvement of a large proportion of the population is sensitive, and if you know these particular realities hardly achieve a truly sustainable development as proposed by the Millennium Development Goals, leaving only in documents filed but not in the act of society. Diachronic generational responsibility and social responsibility among countries synchronously.

Hmm ! When i heard "sustainable development " , firstly i understood about enviroment and energy problems . So i prepared a project about this idea ; "Sustainable Development with Green Ideas" . And also this session includes "educational problems" a little ... But i'm not sure to add more session in this project . But i think main theme is enough to give and take ideas with each together ...
