Dodging Pollution: An Underdog Story
Earthjustice - Non-Profit - www.earthjustice.org
Some of the worst air polluters have dodged controls for decades, pumping dirty air that makes playing outside a dangerous game for kids across the U.S. Though 2011 brings unprecedented opportunities to clean up these polluters, only public pressure can counteract the polluter lobby's influence. A humorous video can help: in a dodgeball game between kids and pollution, large men dressed as mercury, soot, and other pollutants hurl dodgeballs labeled with diseases (e.g. asthma ) while kids counter with balls marked "health" and "clean air". The message: join the kids' team to ensure dirty industries don't dodge clean air rules again.

Well I drove my Jeep off the Highway in 1994 and no longer drive.
My Sister takes me to the grocerie store once per week.
My footprint has been reduced drastically since the crash but it still takes feul for my existance but not as much.
If everyone were forced to conserve the world would rejoyce.
I agree with Pat, we must visualize a world the world with alternative energies. -

The corporate world has no conscience and neither does our government, so we must be the conscience they lack and demand that they put people over profit.

My daughter was hospitalized 8 times in one year for asthma. We shouldn't let polluters get away with damaging our children's health.

Can we really realize a world that has clean air? We must come together
with the polluters and find a common ground to agree on to reduce
their defensive strategies. We must visualize a world with alternative
energies and convince our opponents that this is the way to go and
can be a win , win situation. for both sides ! THis could be the common
ground to agree on. Is this possible? It is a possibility if we work to
make it a reality! -

Utah has the dirtiest air in the nation during the winter months. My nephew has to do a 20 minute asthma treatment every night during these months so he can breathe through the night. It's time to put our air quality and the health of our citizens before dirty businesses.

Idling cars are only polluting and should be outlawed. Besides, my Prius shuts off when not in motion, a technology left over from Saab back in the 1960's.
Outlaw automatic car starters, drive-through eating places and letting a car idle when not in motion. -

I'm afraid they're going to get control again after this election and we're never going to get this accomplished:-(
