Changing the World Through Soccer
One World Futbol Project - Hybrid - www.oneworldfutbol.com
We market the One World Futbol, the ultra-durable, all-terrain soccer ball that never deflates, never needs a pump or needle, and goes on playing even when punctured. Though we sell the ball online with a "Buy One Give One" offer, our primary market are the many nonprofit organizations working in sports for peace and development in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, and U.S. inner cities. Free Range could help us enormously with an online film that would dramatize the lasting value the One World Futbol brings to these important efforts, because our ball lasts for years.

This just in: the One World Futbol Project has been named one of three finalists for the prestigious 2010 Peace & Sport Award Special Jury Prize, to be given in Monaco in December. This is a really big deal, and everyone here at the Project is very excited. Thank you one and all for your support!

This is the most compelling social project I've encountered in a very long time. It provides solace to children in a time of great pain. As a father of two and grandfather to four, I can't think of any simple gesture of compassion more loving than this.

Soccer brings a community separated by racial conflict, personal dislike, or even language difficulty past their differences and unites them. While playing, everyone speaks the same language, soccer; race is irrelevant, goals matter; and personal conflict is forgotten in the joy of playing. By giving people living in impoverished communities the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game as much as the rest of us do. The fact that the "one world futbol" never goes flat and is usable on any surface elongates the experience for people to feel the indescribable feeling that is soccer.
