The Cruelty Behind the Cuteness

Free Range can help reduce suffering and create meaningful social change for animals by creating a movie to educate youth (target age range 13-18) about the inherent cruelty in mass dog breeding operations commonly known as puppy mills. Millions of puppies are born in shockingly poor conditions each year, many with behavior and/or health problems. Many people don't realize they're supporting this cruelty when they purchase a puppy in a pet store, over the Internet, or through a classified ad. By raising awareness, we can help stop a cycle of cruelty that contributes to pet overpopulation and the suffering of countless dogs.

if everyone would stop buying puppies from the pet store, it would put puppy mills OUT OF BUSINESS. spread the word....educate yourself and others!! :)

I have a solution. Subsidize breeders to STOP breeding for five years. They must register, submit info, agree to inspections. Violations result in fines and exposure. This could create a puppy shortage.

Adopt shelter pets and breed rescues. Shut down puppy mills for the sake of both the dogs and the breeds you love.

Puppy Mills must be stopped! All animals are cute, they don't need to be abused and neglected.

i work at a humane society and we get "purebreds" in just as much as mixed breed dogs so there is no need buy animals from petstores where most come from puppymills.

When there are so many incredible pets to adopt from shelters, it's sad puppy mills are still going so strong. Please help stop puppy mills.
