Help Climate Ride expand our network of eco-activist cyclists, or Climate Riders, by developing a "1,000,000 Miles for the Climate" campaign & showcasing bicycles as one solution to the climate crisis. Since 2008, more than 300 Climate Riders have pedaled 100,000 miles during our multi-day charitable rides. What if green-minded bike-enthusiasts at home could also become climate warriors by tracking their everyday cycling? The campaign's focus is the promotion of a yet-to-be-developed web-based tool/wireless-app that logs miles pedaled, shares it via social media, and displays the community's combined total. With help, we envision 1,000 participants cycling 1,000,000 miles worldwide in 2011.

Many people in the modern world feel disconnected. We are disconnected from each other, disconnected from nature and our Earth. Our solution to this is an intentional community, which will embody our holistic approach, recognising that many issues and also their solutions are intricately intertwined. Our five streams of focus: Sustainable Living, Permaculture, Animals, Wildlife & Environment, Education and Spiritual & Personal Growth will be integrated in our community, which will function as a shining example of a new model for living; a new paradigm. Through collaboration, workshops and events we will encourage others to live in an ecologically, economically, socially and spiritually sustainable and fulfilling manner and assist those interested to also develop their own intentional community. Our website could really use the marketing services and expertise of Free Range Studio’s as it's currently not too enticing and doesn't do our mission and projects justice.

I have been working solo on a film about health, agriculture and the environment for the last 6 years. I have interviewed close to 100 thought leaders in the field and am ready to bring the project to fruition. There has been mush debate about the viability of the project as a feature doc. Some feel the topic is too vast. I believe that the project has vast potential in multiple venues, online, educational media, film etc. To date I have been solo and I admittedly could use some help taking the message further. I feel you would be excellent partners.

2. GREEN is a global grid linking together the world's abundant sources of renewable energy, delivering clean energy to every country on the planet.

3. GREEN addresses climate change, poverty and sustainability.

4. GREEN costs 1% of global GDP per year and will take 20 years to complete.

5. GREEN is spending better not more: we already spend more on polluting and finite conventional energy and subsidies.

6. GREEN is co-operative and equitable: each country pays for and receives energy in direct proportion to its needs.

7. GREEN is already happening: DESERTEC in EU-MENA. The Repower Initiative in the U.S. GCCIA in the Middle East.

8. GREEN's network is already 75% complete: existing national grids only need to be linked together by long distance transmission lines.

9. GREEN will be public commons: paid for, constructed and managed by an independent supervisory body; funded by individual tax contribution delivered by national governments.

Gross National Happiness (GNH) provides an optimistic approach for Americans to change our emotionally and environmentally destructive ways by moving away from GDP as our measure of success. Instead, we incorporate new economic thinking and the science of happiness to measure success as the genuine well being of people and our environment. GNH offers a way forward that acknowledges the limits of our planet but does not send people into frantic states of denial. It is a new movement, and we need to educate and inspire the masses.

Although Westside Farm Project has been operating for only two years, the initiative has generated the support of over 36 local organizations and businesses, numerous individuals, and the City of Pittsfield. From 2008 to 2010, the Project has grown from one to three gardens and has gone from producing 500 pounds to over 3,000 pounds of vegetables per year. Only one individual receives paid compensation at this time, but if fundraising efforts pay off in 2011, the organization could build its capacity city- and even county-wide. The Project is poised for exponential expansion with proper strategic planning.
