Cities of the World Unite!

Connecting.nyc Inc. - Non-Profit - www.connectingnyc.org

We need a globally accessible website that presents the features and advantages of acquiring and developing city-TLDs (familiar Top Level Domains are .com and .org - soon they will become available for cities ~ .paris, .berlin, .nyc) as public interest resources.

As the Internet becomes central to civic, commercial, community, and cultural life, those with the best understanding of its capabilities, access, and tools will survive. Our mission has been to prepare NYC for its networked future. To do so, Connecting.nyc Inc. will use the .nyc TLD (like .com and .gov but just for NYC) to educate and empower New York City's residents and organizations to better connect with one another and the world. We created a wiki to engage the public's imagination on how to best plan and develop .nyc as infrastructure for our increasingly digital age.

We now want to take our campaign global, engaging, encouraging, and facilitating other cities to acquire and develop their TLDs as public interest resources.

Perhaps this link http://connectingnyc.org will connect you to additional information, as the one provided is inoperable.
