Help us design the website for Innovation Underground, a model for the emerging educational paradigm, empowering young people to take greater control of their learning, and their lives. IU creates an infrastructure that supports a new kind of collaborative learning through doing in which individuals pursue personal and collective interests, projects, and ventures through:
* An online social networking portal that allows young people to initiate/participate in projects and learning communities, share resources, learn from each other, have access to resources and funding for both learning and start-up projects
* Local community centers that provide face-to-face opportunities for learning and collaborating

This is exactly what we need to help usher in the new era of collaboration. We need solutions which maximize grassroots collaboration through technology while creating rich community environments for in-person interactions. This project is inspirational because at its core are individuals coming together in a self-directed, self-initiated fashion to bring their passions to life. Very exciting!
