Conscious Communication for Change

BayNVC - Non-Profit - www.BayNVC.org

Can you imagine a world in which everyone matters and people have the skills for making peace? Nonviolent Communication (NVC), the practice informing this vision, nurtures responsibility for our choices and feelings, and the capacity to meet others with empathy. Mutual understanding and care for our shared human needs can then provide a foundation for connecting across our differences to resolve conflicts with ease.

Collaborating with Free Range can increase visibility for the tools and consciousness of NVC, allowing many more people to wake up, transform their habitual responses to life, and contribute to a world that works for all.

I couldn't agree more with the need for this knowledge and am full of admiration of you spreading the skills. With all respect, I have an issue with the name because the words we speak may well be the resonances we create. Rather than mention violence perhaps a more positively descriptive term like mutually empowering communications would serve. The only sustainable future is in co-operation with each other and our earth and violence is yesterdays paradigm. Thank you again for what you are doing.

NVC contains the tools and skills to help people think AND behave more peacefully. Every generation needs this!

NVC is so fundamentally different than other family/work strategies for garnering
consenses, or increasing production, being efficient, or getting along, or handling conflict or
differences in values, or parting with compassion ,that I really don't want to
entertain anything that keeps me intellectual, and away from that real, often
deep connection with that other human being in front of me.

4 years ago, when I came across NVC, I thought it was both logical and inspiring. It has hugely contributed to my need for meaning, fun, learning and also my need for hope for a world with more mutual respect. Question is, how to bring it to people's attention so many more can see this choice?!
