Xeroderma Pigmentosum, or XP, is a rare disorder which the ability to repair damage caused by ultraviolet light is deficient and exposure to sunlight must be forbidden. Besides physical hardships, one of the hardest aspects of the disease is seclusion and isolation. Many of the XP children are home schooled and rarely go outdoors during daytime. Most XP children rely heavily on social networking for connecting with their friends. We're suggesting an online platform that will enable XP patients worldwide to create a community of support and communication. The platform will focus on social interactions, shared experiences and knowledge.
